We already had a hunch that the Lumia 610 will be showing up at the Mobile World Congress this February 27th and we also speculated that there could be a European version of the Lumia 900 as well.
The guys from Reuters have confirmed from two different sources that these two Lumia devices are indeed heading towards the Mobile World Congress and that we’ll be seeing them soon.
The European version of the Nokia Lumia 900 is supposed to be practically the same as the LTE U.S. model and it’s not going to sport the 12 megapixel camera as rumors first indicated.
Also, the Nokia Lumia 610 is going to be pretty interesting because it promises to be featuring the Tango update and also it’s supposed to be the first true low-end Windows Phone device.
We’ll just have to see what exactly Microsoft and Nokia have in mind when using the “low-end” catchphrase, but we could assume that it’s still going to pack some interesting features as well.
The price tag for both devices hasn’t yet been revealed, but Nokia was bragging that the Lumia 610 is going to be the first Windows Phone device that can be purchased for around $100 unlocked and carrier free.
If this is true, then the Mobile World Congress this 2012 is going to be pretty exciting for Nokia as they plan to spearhead a new low-end generation of Windows Phone devices on the market.
We’ll just have to say what consumers think about that!
