Joe Belfiore Talks About Windows Phone Competing on Quality

In a recent interview with the guys from The Verge, Joe Belfiore was asked to discuss more about the future of Windows Phone and how Microsoft will keep pushing forward their mobile OS.

While he was reluctant in giving out specific details on the Tango update and on Windows Phone Apollo (also known as Windows Phone 8), he did say that Windows Phone has been happily balanced between iOS and Android for now.

Mostly, Joe Belfiore placed a high emphasis on the quality of Windows Phone rather than the extreme hardware specs or low-priced devices.

He goes on saying that Windows Phone aims at offering the best users experience out there, thus significantly setting it apart from any other mobile OS currently on the market (read: Android or iOS).

Granted, when asked about the future of Windows Phone as to what 2012 has to offer in terms on hardware and updates, he skillfully dodged the question saying that for now, the official consensus is to focus on the things just revealed at CES (as in Nokia Lumia 900).

Also, he did hint that at the Mobile World Congress, Microsoft will have some rather interesting announcements to make, but he just can’t talk about it until such time.

You’re more than welcomed to check out the full video interview above and listen to what Joe Belfiore has to say about Windows Phone and its future.
