Could Nokia Pure View Be a Windows Phone?

The Pure View video that Nokia has released yesterday really made headlines because of the 1080p resolution that it’s supposed to be available for a new Nokia phone that going to make the N8 look like child’s play.

Until now, we had no reason to assume that this Pure View could be on a Windows Phone device, but Vesku Paananen, Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 lead in Finland, might think otherwise.

In a recent tweet, he expressed his enthusiasm for the new Nokia Pure View and considering that no one in his position would be really excited about a new Symbian device, we’re leaning towards a Windows Phone right about now.

Of course, we have no actual shred of evidence to back up this assumption, but we find it hard to believe that the Windows Phone 7 lead in Finland would be so excited about a new Symbian device.

Anyway, in case you missed it yesterday, the video above is supposed to have been taken with a new Nokia device and it has been suggestively entitled “Pure View” because it’s the first footage shot in HD at 1080p.

Such performance is hard to ignore and if it’s coming to Windows Phone, then we could be looking at something groundbreaking that will shake the Android and iOS community to its core.

We’ll keep an eye out for any more leak intelligence, but if you hear or spot something out of the ordinary, don’t hesitate to give us a heads up (we might even throw in a couple of beers).
